Projects

General improvement and maintenance

This project is almost complete. There have been a few essential changes to the headquarters:

  • a non-slip floor has been installed in the kitchen;
  • the fire doors on the Sandy Lane side of the building have been replaced;
  • all fire extinguishers have been renewed and certified;
  • provision is being made for disabled access.

Kayaking at Wraysbury Sailing Club

The group's kayaks have been moved to Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club where they are being shared with the sailing club. The kayak's will be used by Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club on some weekends and will be used by 1st Sunningdale at other times. Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club have invited 1st Sunningdale to camp at the club and on the islands in the club lake.

Replacement Stores

The existing wooden stores are no longer adequate protection against weather and vermin and it has come time to replace them. We now have agreed funding for the main parts of this project but will need to draw on the expertise and financial support of parents and other group members to complete the project.

Replacement Floor

The floor in the boys toilet rooms had become worn and needed replacement. The floor has now been replaced.
