Kayaking At Wraysbury

1st Sunningdale have eight kayaks that have been loaned to Wraysbury Sailing Club for use by the club in their youth development (YOB - Youth On Boats) weekends.
Our kayaks will be on the Wraysbury lake for us to use when they are not being used by the YOBs. Wraysbury Sailing Club is less than fifteen minutes away, and having the kayaks so close and next to water will make it very easy for us to get full use out of them.
We will be taking the dinghy outside the Stores up to Wraysbury Lake to use as a safety boat and general purpose lighter. We will equip it with an outboard engine which we will also store at Wraysbury along with oars, rowlocks, life vests and other equipment.
Wraysbury have also invited us to use their grounds for camping and to camp on the islands in the lake. This is ideal 'Swallows and Amazons' stuff and is a fantastic opportunity.
Exact details of the agreement with Wraysbury Sailing Club are still to be resolved but it is hoped that we will be able to start using the kayaks at Wraysbury from the start of the summer term.
