District Quiz - March 20th 2010

1st Sunningdale were represented at this year's Quiz by Gregor Roach, Oliver Grimes and Oscar Jackson.  They answered a series of questions on a variety of topics and then participated in a number of activity bases.  There was then a final round against 1st Ascot which our boys won and were crowned District Quiz champions for the first time in 23 years (possibly in the history of the competition)!!  A great achievement in our Centenary year. 

1st Sunningdale will now go on to represent the whole SE Berkshire District at the County Quiz in April

District Chess Competition

Three 1st Sunningdale cubs went along to the recent District Chess tournament to compete to represent the District at the County Championships.  Twenty other Cubs turned up for the battle but were no match for our three representatives. Freddie Goodhand, Ben Whaley and Jacob Kelly each performed fantastically and were placed first, second and fourth respectively. Our thanks and congratulations go out to them for a fabulous performance for themselves and 1st Sunningdale. We'll be looking for the Cubs to go one better in the Swimming Gala in three weeks.

Pumpkin Carving

Thanks to all the parents who turned up to carve pumpkins on Tuesday night, we really appreciated your help.  Hopefully you got home with your eardrums intact.
